I love baldies but the past two times I went(all within October) i have been quite disappointed in changes I have noticed. I have gotten chicken parm (which was my all-time favorite) and it has tasted like there was taco seasoning or cumin seasoning the chicken. It is very overpowering and the seasoning doesn't mesh in the dish. This is a very recent change, so I am asking if the establishment would please consider returning to the previous recipe, that I love so dearly. Thank you!
So good!! Got this veggie pizza for takeout and it hit the spot. Love also that they have a separate area for takeout when you get to the restaurant. Super efficient and quick and just hits the spot
Such a great local spot in Lakeville, Massachusetts! Baldie's is known for some of their amazing pizzas and their expansive craft beer menu but honestly you can't go wrong with just about anything on the menu. The restaurant is a nice-sized spot and the wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Televisions playing a game are spread around the restaurant and bar and Keno machines help pass the time when waiting for your meals to come out. We've tried a couple of their pizzas and the General Tso Chicken pizza is a real winner and each week they feature a pizza special that is worth checking out, too. Last night I went with he Pilgrim which had butternut marscapone cheese topped with pancetta and sage with a cranberry aioli on top. (I left out the caramelized onions.) Sandwiches are always a solid option at Baldie's, as well, and the Panko Chicken Sandwich, Crispy Chicken Sandwich or Fish Sandwich are solid options. Go for the tater tots or sweet potato fries to jazz things up a bit. If you're into craft beer you'll find an extensive list of both draught and bottled/canned options available including some pretty tough to find offerings. Baldie's is a clean and inviting atmosphere and is the kind of place you could make your local lunch/dinner option or is worth a bit of a drive to check out as a one-off visit. Great, consistently solid food and excellent service!
After work yesterday I decided I just needed to jump in some water. So, on my way back from Onset Beach I finally made my way to Baldies. And I have to say it wasn't what I expected. First, the sauce was really tasty. The crust reminded me of Domino's, but in a good way....like if Domino's brought in a celebrity chef to improve on the crust's crispiness and chew. Not much to say about the cheese and toppings because it's simply not rocket science. Overall it was good and I'd go back if I'm in the area.
This is the first time I've ever given a 5 review. It's well deserved! The service, food, and drinks were great. The server was not only on par but she went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. May I suggest that you find out for yourself. Ask for server Hannah and Chef Cory. You won't be disappointed!
